Message	with stronger electronic backgrounds. Open the unit up and draw a diagram of how the parts on the circuit board are connected together and how that board connects to the vehicle's harness connector. Post a picture first and we can tell you what the various parts are called (ie., resistor, transistor, integrated circuit chip, etc). Having that diagram helps us to better guess how the thing works...
